چکیده

5G mmWave systems will be characterized by the use of massive antenna arrays, as well as orders of magnitude greater bandwidth. The existing emulation paradigm fails in such systems due to the prohibitive cost and complexity. In this project, a new Emulation paradigm is defined, where the emulation of the beam-formers is combined with that of the wireless channel itself. In this patented design, the cost and complexity of the Emulator can be greatly reduced, thereby making the design suitable for 5G mmWave devices under test.
